LGBTQIA+ Cancer Support

White text on a pink background reads: "In Our Skin: LGBTQIA+ Survivorship, Sexuality, and Mental Health After Cancer." Faint icons are visible in the background.

Wednesday, August 26 | 6:00 – 7:00 pm CDT
Online

This community conversation will bring together LGBTQIA+ cancer survivors for an intimate and honest discussion rooted in lived experience. Together, we’ll explore survivorship, identity, mental health, intimacy, advocacy, and the realities LGBTQIA+ people face from diagnosis to treatment, survivorship, and beyond. Through personal storytelling and audience reflection, the program will create space for connection, learning, and a deeper understanding of LGBTQIA+ experiences in cancer.

Panelists include:

  • Kale Rael, Founder, Cancer Queers
  • Paula Chambers, Patient Advocate; cancer survivor; Founder, Celebration of Queer Joy
  • Alison Self, Founder, Cancer Queers
  • Daniel G. Garza, Director of Outreach, Cheeky Charity
  • Ash Davidson, Advocate and Project Manager, The Cancer Network
