Wellness House’s Top Docs Lectures brings leading oncologists, clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals together to share the latest advances in cancer care with individuals and families impacted by cancer. These free educational events offer reliable, evidence-based information on topics such as cancer care, screening, diagnosis, treatment options, side effect management, survivorship, and whole-person care. Participants have the opportunity to hear directly from experts, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge to help them make informed decisions throughout the cancer journey.

By bringing together respected specialists from leading healthcare institutions across Chicagoland, the Top Docs program helps people feel more informed, empowered, and confident as they navigate cancer. Because of generous donors and community partners, these programs are provided at no cost.

Medical Concerns after Prostate Cancer

Join Dr. Jacob Tallman of UChicago Medicine for a conversation about life after prostate cancer. He’ll discuss survivorship, long-term health, and ways to support your quality of life after treatment. This talk is the first session of a four-part series, Living Well with Prostate Cancer, that offers research-based information and practical strategies to help individuals diagnosed with prostate cancer and their caregivers navigate life during and after treatment. Participants are welcome to attend whichever sessions are most relevant to them and do not need to attend the entire series.

Men with prostate cancer and their caregivers are invited to a discussion about updates in the treatment of prostate cancer led by Michael Kharouta, MD, Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital, Radiation Oncology Consultants. Participants are invited to stay for a COMPLIMENTARY dinner with the Wellness House Registered Oncology Dietitian who will share insights on how nutrition supports health during treatment and recovery.

Advances in Treatment for Melanoma and Other Skin Cancers

Join us for a free, online interactive session by Gaurav Singh, MD, M.P.H., F.A.C.M.S, City of Hope Cancer Center. Dr. Singh will discuss the signs, symptoms, and treatment of skin cancers including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. Skin cancer prevention and general care for healthy skin will also be discussed.
