As CEO of Wellness House in Hinsdale, the mission to surround people affected by cancer with as much care and support as possible is personal for Lisa Kolavennu. When her father was diagnosed with cancer, it influenced her to take her first job at Wellness House almost 20 years ago. It “felt like a way I could take action in an otherwise helpless situation,” she recalls.

Mind Body Fest offers ‘restorative experience’ in Hinsdale for those impacted by cancer
Mind Body Fest, an event for families impacted by cancer, is a “relaxing and restorative experience,” according to organizers.
The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May 16 at Wellness House, 131 N. County Line Road, in Hinsdale.
