    How has breast cancer treatment improved?
    Teamwork enhances breast cancer treatment work, according Cristina O’Donoghue, surgical oncologist with UChicago Medicine and Advent Health. She said close collaboration between a patient’s multidisciplinary team of experts has yielded significant gains in developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
    “For example, if we give more medicine first and, based on the response, maybe we can give less medicine later,” O’Donoghue related.

    As part of Wellness House‘s Hot Topics in Breast Cancer symposium from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. this Saturday, June 20, O’Donoghue will lead a discussion on updates in surgical oncology
