And they’re off! – It was back to business as usual at the annual Walk for Wellness House 3K walk/5K run Sunday morning. Money is still coming in, but the pledges as of Wednesday had topped $615,000, exceeding the goal. The top team, The Crown Royals Team, raised almost $126,000. The top individual – who raised more than $17,600 – is Joan Turcotte.

Wellness House set anchor in Hinsdale 35 years ago and has served more than 50,000 people in that time. Its stated mission is to be “a community where all people affected by cancer thrive. Offered at no cost and as a complement to medical treatment, our programs educate, support, and empower participants so they will improve their physical and emotional well-being.
