  • From Intercepting Breast Cancer Early to Surviving It: Updates Over the Last Year
    Join Wellness House for a free in-person lecture with V.K. Gadi, MD, Deputy Director of Oncology at UI Health. Dr. Gadi will share updates from the past year, including emerging technologies, high-impact drug therapies, and advances in side effect management that can support improved outcomes and quality of life.
  • Family Picnic
    Join us for a fun Family Picnic in recognition of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. While we recognize children affected by cancer this month, this event is open to all families impacted by any type of cancer.
  • Hot Topics in Prostate Cancer — 2026
    Saturday, September 19 Join top oncologists, surgeons, and healthcare professionals in the Chicagoland area to learn about the latest updates in the research, treatment and side effect management for prostate cancer.
  • Back to School Ice Cream Social
    Join us at Wellness House for a sweet end-of-summer Ice Cream Social as we celebrate the start of a new school year and reconnect with friends. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon filled with treats, laughter, and meaningful time together with your Wellness House community.
  • Taste of Wellness House Nutrition Fair — 2026
    Join us Oct. 3 for our annual nutrition fair. Featuring local vendors, cooking demonstrations, and practical culinary workshops designed to educate and promote a whole food, plant-based, cancer-fighting diet. This event is for anyone impacted by cancer.
  • Wellness House Showcase Event
    Curious about Wellness House’s FREE cancer support services? Come experience them for yourself in this orientation-style program. Sample mini sessions such as exercise, nutrition, stress management, or support groups — and discover how these programs can support you. Registration required.
  • Breast Cancer Basics
    Breast Cancer Basics is an educational session designed to help make the breast cancer journey feel less confusing and overwhelming. Participants will learn about different types of breast cancer, common terms, treatment approaches, and helpful questions to ask, all in a supportive setting and easy-to-understand language.

  • Dinner With the Doc: Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago Meeting Featuring William Hartsell, MD
    Men with prostate cancer and their caregivers are invited to discuss treatment options, learn current research, ask questions, and stay for a COMPLIMENTARY dinner with the Wellness House Registered Oncology Dietician who will share insights on how nutrition supports health during treatment and recovery.
  • Kids Kamp
    Wellness House’s Kids Kamp is a week-long, free camp experience for children ages 5-12 who are impacted by cancer. This includes children with a cancer diagnosis, children who have lost a loved one to cancer, and/or children who have a family member with a cancer diagnosis. Kamp runs daily from 9:00 am – noon, the week of July 6-10, 2026.
