Mind Body Fest

Immerse yourself in a week of relaxation
In-Person and Online Experiences

Join us for a week-long festival of activities designed to reduce stress, increase relaxation, and improve your overall sense of well-being. Choose from a variety of Wellness House stress management programs and learn techniques to add to your self-care toolbox.

The week will get started with a socially-distanced in-person event on Saturday, August 28th, where participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of relaxing experiences! Throughout the following week, virtual sessions will also be offered.

 


 

In-Person Event

Saturday, August 28 | 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Participants are welcome to reserve a time to join us in-person on Saturday, August 28th. Programs will take place outside, under the shade, and participants will be required to wear a mask while on Wellness House grounds. There will be no more than 15 participants per group. To protect the health and safety of our community while still giving people the opportunity to gather in person, we ask that participants register for only one timeslot. You will have the opportunity to participate in two facilitator-led mini sessions, receive instructions for self-guided activities, and receive a relaxation goodie-bag. After registering, you will receive an email to complete your activity preferences.

  • Finding Peace Amidst Uncertainty: How Mindfulness can Help with Cancer and Caregiving

    Life doesn’t turn out the way most of us expect. What’s most important is how we respond to what’s happening in the moment. The practice of mindfulness offers a structure and path to return to and learn how to cultivate peace inside, even when you don’t know what is coming next. Join Joni Sturgill, mindfulness facilitator and integrative wellness counselor, in this session, to build a framework to help you manage the challenges that accompany a cancer experience, and to practice techniques to help you soothe your emotions.
