Jeannie Cella, Wellness House CEO

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JEANNIE CELLA NAMED WELLNESS HOUSE PRESIDENT & CEO
Recognition Coincides with New “Wellness Beyond Walls” Program

HINSDALE, Ill. – On June 27, 2016, the Wellness House Board of Directors voted unanimously to update Jeannie Cella’s title from Executive Director to President and CEO, effective immediately. The title change is an important step in the history of Wellness House, and recognizes both Jeannie’s strategic role in the organization and the increasing breadth and impact of its programs.

“Jeannie has done an amazing job navigating Wellness House’s significant growth,” said John J. Paro, Board Chairman. “Her new title is a signal to the staff, board, and external community that Jeannie has the board’s trust to engage the broadest range of community and other outside contacts, and that she has a leadership team trusted to handle operations and staff.”

Jeannie Cella has been a staff member of Wellness House since its founding, and was named its Executive Director in 2000. In that time, the organization has evolved and expanded, and its organizational structure has become increasingly complex. Jeannie’s focus is now primarily on the strategic direction of Wellness House, and the external relationships that are needed to meet the strategic plan’s goals.

Over the last 25 years, Wellness House has established itself as a leader in providing supportive care to people affected by cancer. As part of the organization’s next developmental phase, Wellness House has launched the Wellness Beyond Walls initiative dedicated to offering remote programs and developing partnerships across more communities in order to reach more people where they live and work. Through the use of additional technologybased solutions, Wellness House will extend support even further beyond its walls.

“I’m honored to be in a position to lead the team at Wellness House, and I’m excited for our next chapter,” said Cella. “We know that the need for our services grows as more people are being diagnosed and living longer as survivors. Partnership-focused support initiatives like Wellness Beyond Walls will ensure that we can continue to serve our community with excellence for years to come.”

    About Wellness House

25 years ago, a group of people came together because they saw, first-hand, the impact of cancer on their family and friends. Out of concern and determination, Wellness House was born to lighten cancer’s burden through programs that support, inform and educate people affected by cancer. Since then, more than 32,000 people have been impacted by Wellness House.

Wellness House envisions a community where all people affected by cancer thrive. Offered at no cost, and as a complement to medical treatment, our programs educate, support and empower participants so they will improve their physical and emotional well-being.
