As an Oncology Support Counselor, Tasha provides psychosocial support to adults with a cancer diagnosis, caregivers, and bereaved participants in both individual and support group settings. She joined the Wellness House team in 2019. Tasha obtained a Bachelor’s of Art in Communications in 2005 from the University of Houston and returned to school to obtain a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2019 from the University of Illinois, Chicago and became a Licensed Social Worker. Her previous work with older adults in a variety of medical practices stoked a passion for helping those affected by cancer to navigate their new and everchanging “normal” throughout the cancer journey and she is inspired by the resilience she sees daily in the Wellness House participants. Tasha’s interests include hiking, traveling, and reading.
