Finding a Friend in Your Body After Cancer: Learning to Use Your Body as a Resource

Wednesdays, April 4 – 25, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Registration Required (this program is offered as a series; we request that you attend each of the four sessions)

Beyond the obvious physical changes in your body during and after cancer, survivors of cancer often report a sense of betrayal by their bodies, difficulty trusting their bodies in the same way they did before, and having
frequent fear of another “betrayal.” We also tend to hold the stresses of illness in our bodies in ways that often become “stuck.” Join us in this four-week series with the intention of learning how to befriend your body again and use it as a resource and an ally as you navigate your way through the
cancer journey. These sessions build upon each other; please plan to attend all four sessions.
April 4 – Using your senses, breath, and mindfulness to be present within your body
April 11 – Cultivating a sense of safety for your body
April 18 – Cultivating a sense of safety within your body
April 25 – Learning how to transform “stuckness” into peacefulness and
